Open Farm Community @ Minden Road (Dempsey Hill) Launches Revamped Menu

More than year ago, I openly declared Open Farm Community (OFC) to be one of the best cafés in Singapore to enjoy well-thought and finely-executed food in a relaxing, laidback ambience. Even after many months and a few repeated visits later, it is still a joy to be back again recently for dinner.

What's the draw this time? OFC's revamped menu!

With a continued effort to champion farm-fresh dining, the 10 new dishes pays homage to familiar local flavors, and mostly uses fresh ingredients that are sourced from farms in and around Singapore.

Though K-Tower is not the first in Singapore to offer this dining concept, it aims to stay ahead of the game by ensuring that the freshness of the seafood not compromised. Their live seafood comes fresh from the tanks at the back of the restaurant!

If there is one Italian thing that I cannot get enough of, it has to be the..... food!

This is reason enough for me to make an afternoon escapade from work and dive into the gastronomic comfort set within Dolce Vita, a fine-dining Italian restaurant located on level 5 of Mandarin Oriental Singapore.

Right place, and the right time too, as Dolce Vita has recently launched its new dishes by Chef de Cuisine Marco Manocchio.

The Wall @ Tanjong Pagar ~ A Bar Specializing In Whisky From All Over The World & Japanese Sumiyaki

Whisky and Sumiyaki? Doesn't sound like the most typical food and drink pairing, but The Wall has confidently coupled the two together.

Recently-launched in Tanjong Pagar, The Wall is a whisky and sumiyaki bar that seeks to de-mystify the art of whisky drinking and make it accessible to a wider audience.

It is also one of a few whisky bars that serves a full food menu which focuses on sumiyaki, or Japanese charcoal grill.

New Ubin Seafood Moves From Sin Ming to Hillview. That Beef Steak With Heart Attack Fried Rice Is Still As Good!

When news of New Ubin Seafood's relocation broke last November, we quickly went for a "farewell" meal at the restaurant's Sin Ming Industrial Estate premises where it has been operating for the last couple of years, before it moved into its new home at Hillview.

Hillview sounds ulu and can be rather remote for most of us. I imagine the Westies to be happy though. "Hey hey, we now have a Michelin Bib Gourmand zhi-char eatery on our side of the island!"

Lam Soon Industrial Building to be specific. Diners have to take the passenger lift to level 6, and walk through the carpark to get to the "canteen" which now houses New Ubin. If you drive, just park directly at level 6.

Imperial Treasure Steamboat Restaurant Opens New Branch At Great World City

Glad that the city is getting hot and steamy! Not talking about the weather of course lol!

Imperial Treasure Steamboat Restaurant has opened a new branch at Level 1 of Great World City, offering diners another location choice for its hotpot meals besides the outlet at Ion Orchard.

Though the branch at Triple One Somerset which I went sometime back has already closed, it stayed in my memory as one of the better steamboat experiences in Singapore.
