Tóng Lè Private Dining 同樂 @ OUE Tower Presents An Exquisite Niigata City Menu For A Limited Period!

Tóng Lè Private Dining 同樂 is reputed to be one of Singapore's finest Chinese restaurants, and I've heard only good things about its food, service and ambience from my friends who have dined there before. True that!

The purpose of my visit was to check out Tóng Lè's special two-week menu (available from 27th October to 11th November 2017) which features Autumn seasonal produce from Japan's Niigata City.

This is actually the second year in which the collaboration is taking place. Chef Ken Ling was so impressed with the products last year, that he flew to Niigata City again this year to personally handpick the freshest Autumn ingredients to be used for the delectable 6-course menu.

Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant 鳗满, NEW 2nd Outlet @ DUO Galleria ~ Full Of Grilled Freshwater Eel Goodness

My man of the moment is undeniably..... Man Man 鳗满 ! <3

Opened by Chef Teppei Yamashita, the flagship store at Keong Saik Road is widely-known for being the first Japanese unagi specialty restaurant in Singapore, its delicious grilled eel that bagged a Michelin Bib Gourmand status, and forever long queue.

Okay lah, not exactly "forever", but stories of having to stand in line for any time between 30 minutes to 2 hours in less-than-favorable weather conditions without any shelter just to enjoy an unagi meal are not unheard of.

So the opening of a second Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant at DUO Galleria (directly connected to Bugis mrt station EW12/DT14) came as great news for those who wish to skip the waiting torture yet get a taste of what's the hype all about. Last we heard, there isn't any long queue at this 2nd outlet yet.

The man behind the casual eatery is chef-owner Elton Seah who has been operating HolyCrab as a private dining concept for seven years, before collaborating the owner of Joo Bar to set this up.
