Truffs @ Telok Ayer Street ~ Time For A Chocolate Break!

It is often heard, "I need a coffee break", "Let's go for afternoon tea", but would one usually go... "Time for a chocolate break!" ???
 
Kimberly, Derrick and I had a chocolate break one afternoon and we love it!

Hidden in the second level of a row of shophouse along Telok Ayer Street, Truffs would have escaped my attention if Kimberly hadn't introduced the place to us after our failed attempt to visit Sophie's Bakery which was temporary closed for renovations. Best known for their offerings of chocolate desserts, drink and truffles (of course!), Truffs is truly an epitome of a chocolate paradise, a perfect place to have a quiet afternoon of chocolate break! My initial disappointment was very much compensated with this new-found affection.

My Best Friend Married My Cousin! ~ A Very Touching Wedding @ Seletar Country Club

May 25, 2013 ~ It was a most touching moment as I witnessed my best friend exchanged marriage vows with my cousin. The solemnisation ceremony and wedding dinner was held at Seletar Country Club in the company of family, relatives and close friends. A simple and cosy affair, the few of us who has comrade the bride and bridegroom through their love journey were all present, including Diana and Margaret whom I have not met for a long time. Amid the congratulatory tosses of wine and shouts of yum seng, I held back tears of joys, for the union of two persons in love is the most beautiful, even more especially so as they are two people whom I loved.

2fifteen Kitchen ~ A Gem in Rochester Mall, Buona Vista

You know you had a great dining experience, when you left the place with a smile, parted with your money happily, and tummy deeply satisfied.

I've been wanting to try the food at 2fifteen Kitchen since reading positive reviews about the restaurant which is known for their hearty dishes and unpretentious comfort French and European cuisine. Tucked away in a corner in Rochester Mall, knowing that 2fifteen Kitchen is located literally at unit #02-15 of the building gave us a simple and clear indication of where we should be directing our feet to. I wonder why it took me too long to check out this gem in Buona Vista since it's located just next to Star Vista where I attend church service every Sunday.

NamNam Noodle Bar @ Raffles City ~ A Moo-licious Pho Night for the Cow's Birthday

Just one call was all it took for the few of us to ditch our evening plans and make our way to NamNam Noodle Bar at the basement of Raffles City Shopping Centre instead, simply because it's The Hungry Cow's birthday! It was a rather impromptu gathering as the cow managed to finish all his work that evening, thus freeing himself up for a celebration. Arrangements were quickly made in a frenzy among us as the cow's Blackberry whatsapp decided to fail him on this day of all days. I shook my head in disbelief as I'm back in town after leaving office and commuting in the train for 1.5 hours. Cow, see how we he♥rt you! Got 感动 mah? :p
