Kin Cow @ Chinatown Point ~ Delicious Thai Beef Noodles!

Busy until no time to eat? For us foodies (at least for me), the busier we are, the more food we need to keep our sanity. Lol!

Nothing was more suitable than a meal of comforting, beefy goodness at Kin Cow.

Conveniently located at Chinatown Point, the name of the casual eatery takes a clever pun out of "Kin Khao", which means "eat rice", and is also a commonly-used Thai expression for "to eat".

Blue Lotus Chinese Grill House @ Tanjong Pagar Centre ~ Delicious Contemporary Chinese Cuisine!

After Blue Lotus - Chinese Eating House (Quayside Isle) and Blue Lotus - Chinese Noodle Bar (Science Park Drive), entrepreneur Ricky Ng has recently launched his third restaurant, Blue Lotus - Chinese Grill House, at Tanjong Pagar Centre.

Admittedly, I wasn't familiar with any of Blue Lotus' dining concept until my recent visit to this latest addition. The dishes we tried successfully married Chinese flavors and essence with Western culinary techniques, and presented a taste that's familiar yet different with a brilliant, new-age twist.

It was a delightful dining discovery that should have been made sooner, but fortunately it's still not too late.

Lotus Kitchen @ Chinatown Point ~ Contemporary Vegetarian Restaurant With Yummy Meatless Food!

Lotus Kitchen, the 80-seater contemporary vegetarian restaurant that is prominently located on the ground level of Chinatown Point (right at Chinatown mrt station, NE4/DT19- exit E), is hard to miss.

The wide variety of meat-free Chinese cuisine and local favorites that it serves are not to be missed too.

We learned that the team behind Lotus Kitchen is actually from the well-established Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant (at Quality Hotel) that is best known for their vegetarian buffet, so I guess there is a certain quality assurance from years of accumulated experience. True enough, our recent dinner at Lotus Kitchen proved to be delicious and satisfying.

Ginza Rokukakutei @ Odeon Tower ~ One-Michelin Star Kushikatsu Restaurant From Japan Opens In Singapore!

We had a delightful fried-foodelicious kushikatsu evening at Ginza Rokukakutei Singapore!

Our little island is the first overseas outlet for one-Michelin star Rokukakutei which hails from Osaka, Japan. Helmed by Chef Hideyuki Tanaka who has 15 years of experience, its specialty is in kushikatsu or Japanese deep-fried skewers of meat, seafood and vegetables, which is regarded as one of Osaka's soul food.

Using mostly fresh premium ingredients imported from Japan, the skewered offerings are paired with artisanal sauces, and enjoyed omakase style.

If a meal of fried food are thought to be just a humble affair, it is certainly not the case here at Rokukakutei.

Provisions @ Dempsey Road ~ Singapore's First Skewers & Claypot Rice Cocktail Bar!

The dining enclave of Dempsey Hill might not be the most convenient location to get to without a car, but I thought Provisions would be worth a trip.

A skewers and claypot rice cocktail bar? Sounds interesting enough. The concept is said to be the first in Singapore!

Some of my friends are also talking about this newly-opened joint for another reason: Go check out its handsome chef!

NASI LEMAK BURGER! Find It At These 7 Places In Singapore! *With NEW Updates (There Is More!)*

The burger flavor that has been hogging the limelight (and tummy spaces) these few weeks is undeniably the... NASI LEMAK BURGER.

While some might have tasted the rendition created by local food guru KF Seetoh for a hawker at Gluttons Bay in 2016, it was on 13th July 2017 when McDonald's launched their version that ignited an islandwide appetite for Nasi Lemak Burger.

Many has commented that it is one of the better novelty burgers that the fast-food chain has introduced, while some felt that it is not localized enough without having a rice patty burger, and the usual peanuts and ikan bilis. The sambal sauce was also said to be without much kick.

A few local eateries has since started serving their version of nasi lemak burger as well, offering it with "real" rice patties, believing they can do better. One quipped, "how can we not join in the fun?" Let's not even count the increasing number of homemade nor our neighbouring country's versions as seen on social media platforms.

Though many of us still love nasi lemak in its truest form, what's not to like about the novelty of enjoying it as a burger?

So here it is, 7 places where you can find Nasi Lemak Burger in Singapore.
