Crystal Jade Restaurants Launches Parents' Day Promotion With Exclusive Dishes, Specially-crafted Set Menus, And More!
In case anyone needs a reminder, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, and we do the same for Father's Day on the third Sunday of June here in Singapore. It is not uncommon to see most families having a meal together to mark their appreciation for the mother and father in their life.
It's time to start thinking about where to eat!

Ho Fook Hei Soy Sauce Chicken @ Great World City ~ Well-Executed, Comforting Cantonese Dishes By Joyden
Ho Fook Hei can be quite a mouthful for those who don't speak the Cantonese dialect. It took me quite some time to get it right oops.
Meaning 好福气 or good forturne, the auspiciously-named casual dining eatery located on the first floor of Great World City (near the office towers) serves its signature rose wine soy sauce chicken, and a medley of authentic Cantonese specialties prepared with time-honoured recipes passed down from generations.
Seems that this latest concept by locally-owned Joyden group of restaurants is very well-received by diners as Ho Fook Hei was packed when we visited on a weekday evening for dinner.

Pince & Pints Launches All-New CRAB Dishes At Duxton Road Outlet
It's not just about "everything lobster" at Pince & Pints anymore!
Since March this year, the lobster specialty restaurant and bar has started serving five all-new crab dishes exclusively at its Duxton Road outlet. We're not going to ditch those premium live lobsters and the yummy signature lobster rolls anytime soon of course but..... what's not to love about having more crustacean goodness on the already well-loved menu?
The more pincers, the merrier! Yummy ones of course lol!

Yun Nans 云海肴 @ Jewel Changi Airport ~ Largest Yunnan F&B Chain With Over 150 Outlets In China Is Now Opened In Singapore!
Having never been to China before, my limited connection to the culturally-rich nation is mostly through their cuisine. Okay, C-dramas like Yanxi Palace as well lol!!!
Now we can get an experience of "gao yuan liao li" or Highland cuisine right here in Singapore. Yun Nans (known in China as 云海肴 "Yun Hai Yao"), the world's largest Yunnan F&B chain with over 150 outlets, has opened its first store in 10 years and the first out of China at Jewel Changi Airport.
Our meal at Yun Nans did not miraculously teleport us to China, but gave us a valuable inkling of what food from the highlands is like.

The most anticipated F&B opening of the year for us here on our sunny island could possibly be..... Shake Shack Singapore!
Finally, the famed burger chain will be opening at Jewel Changi Airport on 17th April 2019. This is their first restaurant in South East Asia.
Let's say hello to Shake Shack's signature items including the ShackBurger, Shack-cago Dog, classic crinkle-cut fries, craft beer, concretes (frozen custard ice-cream), and... Singapore-exclusive menu! Yay!

The Lobby Lounge at Intercontinental Singapore might not have any scenic views to boost of, but it undeniably counts as one of the most elegant hotel lounges in Singapore.
That is where my friends and I will often adjourned to for light bites and drinks after an evening of shopping at the adjoining Bugis Junction as we love the tranquil and restful ambience it offers.
When we got to know of its new Classic Afternoon Tea: The Orchard that was recently launched on 1st April, we quickly made plans to visit. Afterall, who can resist a sweet, leisurely afternoon over luscious delights hehee?

Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant 萬豪軒 has launched its Exquisite Dim Sum Treasures for the month of April!
Diners can expect handcrafted creations such as Steamed Prawn & Black Truffle Dumpling in Squid Ink Skin ($10++ per 2pcs), Steamed Red Date Cake with Osmanthus Syrup ($6++ per 2pcs), and Steamed Quail Egg Pork Siew Mai ($8++ per 2pcs), on top of the usual Cantonese dim sum offerings that's already on the lunch menu.

Sora Boru has recently-opened at the basement of 313@somerset.
Named after the way Japanese pronounce 'bowl', Sora Boru is a brand-new Japanese dining eatery by K Food Holdings (which also operates Chir Chir, Masizzim and Kogane Yama) serving up a variety of one-bowl meals in the form of Don Boru (rice bowls), Curry Boru (curry rice bowls), Chirashi Boru (sashimi bowls) and Noodles.
