Morton's The Steakhouse Singapore @ Mandarin Oriental Hotel ~ Delectable Fare From The New Fall Seasonal Menu

Nestled in the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Morton's Of Chicago is considered to be one of the best steakhouse in Singapore, serving up succulent steaks and fresh seafood accompanied with a selection of carefully-curated wine.

This season, the spotlight is on their 4-course Festive Menu ($258++ per guest), as well as the Fall Seasonal Menu featuring new ala-carte items which aims to bring exciting elements and refreshed flavors to the existing well-loved repertoire.

Though I've been to their adjoining bar for Martinis and Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches, it was only recently that I made my very first visit to the main dining hall of Morton's itself to check out the Fall Seasonal Menu that is available only till end-February 2016.

I must say the dining experience was nothing short of delightful deliciousness, starting right from the complimentary serving of Onion Loaf that impressed us its warm fluffiness sealed with an crusty exterior.

The Lobster Stuffed Roasted Mushrooms ($39) was another unanimous favorite. The burst of juiciness and arresting flavors upon each bite into the large mushroom caps seasoned with garlic butter, roasted and stuffed with lobster meat filling were all too pleasing.

Seafood fans wouldn't want to miss out on the huge Sea Scallops Rossini ($56) that is seared to naturally sweet perfection and decadently dressed with foie gras butter. The accompaniment of luscious black truffled leeks stole quite a bit of thunder too.

New main courses include the Nueske's Bacon Steak ($38) and a generously-cut 14-ounce Bone-in Filet Mignon ($122). I do like the honey-bourbon glazed bacon for its intense savory flavors, but when it comes to meat preference, nothing beats a thick slab of steak goodness.

And the steak at Morton's did lived up to expectations. Using the best available aged, grain-fed USDA beef, the bone-in filet mignon was expertly executed with nicely-charred edges and pinkish medium-rare interior. The lean cut wasn't as flavorful as a ribeye, nor has those melt-in-the-mouth moments of highly-marbled Wagyu, but its tenderness sufficed nevertheless.

Most of the time I prefer to savor my steak without any condiments, but when Black Truffle Butter ($4) is presented as a choice to elevate the enjoyment, the chances of me saying no is quite unlikely. Other available enhancements include Blue Cheese Butter ($4), Foie Gras Cognac Butter ($4) and Cognac Sauce Au Poivre ($4).

The mains are accompanied with a wide selection of side dishes, including tempting choices such as Balsamic-glazed Grilled Asparagus ($22) and an insanely delicious Mashed Black Truffle Cauliflower ($22) that is pureed with Parmesan cheese to a lovely smooth consistency .

For dessert, the Fall menu features a special rendition of White Chocolate Bread Pudding ($25) with white chocolate chips and pecans. We all loved it with some vanilla ice cream and bourbon caramel sauce.

If you still have tummy space, you may also want to try Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake or other signatures such as Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake.

A full meal at Morton's can be quite pricey, but for special occasions or celebrations to round off a fulfilling year, it is still worth the splurge. Or just do your corporate entertaining here and park it under company expenses haha!
