Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant 萬豪軒 has launched its Exquisite Dim Sum Treasures for the month of April!
Diners can expect handcrafted creations such as Steamed Prawn & Black Truffle Dumpling in Squid Ink Skin ($10++ per 2pcs), Steamed Red Date Cake with Osmanthus Syrup ($6++ per 2pcs), and Steamed Quail Egg Pork Siew Mai ($8++ per 2pcs), on top of the usual Cantonese dim sum offerings that's already on the lunch menu.
We wasted no time on checking it out, and quickly found our favorite which is the.....
..... Steamed Chilli Crab Bun ($8++ per 2pcs)!
The bun was soft and fluffy but its crust stayed super crispy. It's filled with sweet-spicy sauce that holds slivers of crab meat, a nod to our popular chilli crab dish. I wondered how the chilli crab bun is steamed (and not deep-fried or baked) to such perfection.
It was so so so moreish that we had to "pester" the kitchen for more lol. We were told that this is one of the more popular items, and quantity runs out very fast. Happy that we had the chance to savour it! Just this item alone will make me want to make a return visit.
Other highlights also include the savory Steamed Prawn with Eggplant & Black Bean Sauce ($8++ per 2pcs), refreshing Chilled Chrysanthemum Tea Jelly with Mango Sorbet ($16++ per order), and Baked Bird's Nest Egg Tart ($12++ per pc) filled with smooth egg custard and decadently capped with a generous portion of bird's nest.
Do note the Exquisite Dim Sum Treasures dim sum items are available for lunch only from 1st to 26th April 2019, so plan your visit soon if you wish to give it a try.
