Paradise Dynasty has launched a brand new outlet at Suntec City Mall!
No doubt this latest addition would bring much convenience to the working professionals working in the area who are hankering for Paradise Dynasty's famed xiao long bao offerings. But even if you're not anywhere nearby, there's a very good reason to purposefully travel over to the Suntec outlet because of the..... Brown Sugar Lava Xiao Long Bao!
Yes, you read it right! Inspired by the brown sugar pearl milk trend, the kitchen team has specially developed this exclusive exciting offering to commemorate the new outlet opening.
The Brown Sugar Lava Xiao Long Bao is pleated using the brand's golden formula of 18 exquisite folds, and within that delicate two-toned color skin is the match-made-in heaven pairing of molten brown sugar and coconut strips.
We were totally taken by the xiao long bao which somehow reminded us of ondeh ondeh (a local snack). That flow, that burst in the mouth! It was all so very delightful and moreish!
Best to enjoy the xiao long bao as soon as it arrives at the table. Be careful though, because the fillings can be quite hot. Oh in case you're wondering, it doesn't contain any tapioca pearls lol.
We had some savory mains before ticking into the brown sugar lava xiao long bao as it's a sweet item and served lastly as a dessert.
Starting with the Signature Original Xiao Long Bao ($8.50 for 6 pieces, $12.80 for 10 pieces) of course! The steamed dumplings are always so well-executed with intricately thin skin and juicy meat filling in clear, tasty broth that it warrants an order during each visit.
I always hesitated about getting the Century Egg with Vinaigrette & Chilli Oil ($5.80) as it looks like a simple dish which can be easily replicated at home but boy, I was so wrong! The magic lies in that vinaigrette which is very well-balanced in flavor, and greatly appetizing with a hint of spiciness from the chilli oil. So good, I even dip my xiao long bao in it lol.
The deep-fried Radish Pastry ($6.80 for 3 pieces) was very memorable too with shredded radish and flaky skin that crumbles easily at each bite. Some find the chilled Drunken Chicken ($9.80) intoxicating blend of yellow wine a tad strong, but otherwise, the deboned drumstick is tender and perfect for sharing around the table.
For a more substantial meal, dishes such as Crispy Pork Chop ($11), Fried Rice in Shanghai Style ($12.80), and Stir-fried French Bean with Minced Pork & Preserved Olive Vegetable ($12.80) would fit the bill just nicely.
Now, I need another basket of that Brown Sugar Lava Xiao Long Bao! Need to be
