An Enchanting Christmas & Festive Buffet 2017 @ Marriott Café, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel



Another year, another Christmas, another round of festive feasting at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel!

Besides the many familiar faces as we gathered together for the evening, I also saw many mouth-watering treats making a comeback in the sumptuous buffet spread.

Our appetites were more than well-prepared for the host of Christmas perennial favorites, premium roasts, grilled seafood, Western & Asian delights, and..... desserts of course!


For a lighter start, items such as Gingerbread Spiced Salmon, Ham Hock Terrine, Foie Gras Royale with Figs Chutney are very much ideal.

Seafood lovers will love the seafood selection of Baked Salt Crusted Whole Snapper with Salsa Verde, Gratinated Prawns, Oyster Florentine, Lobster Thermidor, and Mussel Marinara, just to name a few.

Those craving for Asian delicacies will be delighted with Singapore Chili Crab, Salted Egg Prawns, Braised Pork Belly, Roast Duck, Soft Shell Crab, Ginseng Herbal Chicken, and more.


The carnivore in me actually had me making a beeline for the line-up of meat including Roast Australian Beef, and Rosemary Roast Lamb Leg with Mint-flavored Demi-glaze, before anything else! Lol!

The delicious Bourbon & Honey Glazed Leg Ham had many of us going for repeated servings.

Most Christmas feasts will not go without turkeys, and this year, Marriott serves up an Asian Salt Spiced Turkey with Mandarin Jus (available for takeaway at $188nett).

Their crowd-pleasing Truffle Buttered Roast Turkey with Finanziera Terrine & Madeira Sauce (available for takeaway at $248nett) is back by popular demand as well.


Sweet treats are aplenty with desserts like Mulled Fruit Trifle, Eggnog Cream Pots, Black Forest Verrine, Santa's Amaretto Tipple, Stollen, Steamed Plum Pudding with Brandy Sauce, Madeline Mince Pies with Brandy Butter, Pink Champagne Jelly with Lychee Syrup, and more.

The Coffee Praline Dulcey Yule Log (1kg, available for takeaway at $68nett), and Baked Speculoos Caramel Lotus Cookies Cheesecake (1kg, available for takeaway at $68nett) will make wonderful additions to any Christmas gatherings.
