Christmas Magic 2015 @ Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, Orchard Road ~ A Look At Their Buffet Line-Up & Takeaway Goodies



Christmas is nearing! Magical time of the year to celebrate the greatest love of all that came down from heavens with our loved ones once again. Most of us usually do it over scrumptious food? Yes? No? Haha, let the festive feasting begin!

PinkyPiggu had a first glimpse of what to expect at Singapore Marriot Tang Plaza's Christmas Magic which will be taking place at Marriott Cafe from 1st to 30th December 2015.

Besides an extensive array of classic Christmas delicacies as well as interesting new creations at the buffet line-up, takeaway goodies are also available at the hotel's forecourt stall.

To kickstart the joyous meal, fare includes Fresh Seafood on Ice, Sushi and Sashimi, Charcuterie and Cheese. Those plump oysters and succulent tiger prawns are certainly not to be missed.

Fans of foie gras can also take delight in the Duck Liver Terrine, as well as Foie Gras Royal, a delightful savory sweet pairing of foie gras mousse topped with sweet fig coulis.

The live station offers rounds of Pan-fried Foie Gras with mandarin marmalade & Chianti reduction, and also Flambéed Prawns with tequila & lime.


Highlights for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day include Roast Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing, Honey Baked Ham, Prune & Pancetta Stuffed Roasted Pork Saddle, Roast Beef Prime Rib, Seared Sirloin with Perigord Sauce, Braised Beef Cheeks, Braised Pork Belly with Blood Sausages & Glazed Apple, Lobster Benedict, Whole Baked Salmon, Gratinated Scallops, Roast Duck Confit.

If you're craving for Asian delights, crowd pleasers include Singapore Chili Crab, Salted Egg Prawns, Ginseng Herbal Chicken Soup, Eight Treasures Wok-Fried Rice and more.

Don't we all love desserts? The spread marks the ultimate finale with Mulled Fruits Brulee, Eggnog Financier Cream Pots, Buche de Noel, Choux Pastry Christmas Tree, Mulled Wine & Eggnog, Steamed Plum Pudding with Brandy Sauce, Drunken Berries Panna Cotta, Santa's Sherry Tipple, just to name a few.

Making its debut is the limited edition Truffle Buttered Roast Turkey (9-10kg, $498++) with finanziera terrine (an offal terrine which consist of veal tongue, pig's ear, cockscomb, beef lung and tripe) and madeira sauce. For something more classic, there is the Traditional Roast Turkey (10kg, $288nett / 5kg, $172nett) with chestnut & foie gras stuffing with cranberry & port wine sauce.

Available for takeaways are also the Rosemary Roasted Lamb Leg ($164nett) with mint-flavored demi-glaze, Honey & Clove Glazed Ham (10kg, $405nett / 5kg, $205nett) with cinnamon pineapple sauce, Roast Duck ($128nett) with braised red cabbage & potato dumplings, Slow-roasted Beef Striploin ($145nett) with port wine sauce & horseradish cream.

 
The Kaya Namachoco Yule Logcake ($68nett), Strawberry Cream Raspberry Lychee Logcake ($68nett) and Christmas Stollen (from $26nett) will make great gifts to any festive gatherings!
