Hello everyone! The PinkyPiggu just came back from her shortest ever Taiwan trip!
Why is this the shortest trip ever? Well, I stayed for just 4 days, and remained in Taipei only. It wasn't in my agenda to re-visit other cities like Kaoshiung (高雄) and Taichung (台中). I loved the rustic charms of outskirt areas like Shifen (十分) and the cold spring of Su-ao (蘇澳冷泉), but a little food getaway was what I was looking for. I wanna stuff myself silly with all the fabulous authentic Taiwanese food which I've been missing sooooooo much!
What a tummy fulfilling 4 days it was!
I managed to eat all my favorite Taiwanese food! My favorite Charcoal Grilled Chicken Cutlet (碳烤鸡排) stall is still in Shilin Night Market (士林夜市). Mango Snow Ice (芒果雪花冰) and Ice Cream Popiah (花生捲冰淇淋) are sweet darlings I wouldn't missed. Danshui A-Ge (淡水阿給) still stands strong after all these years! There are comments that Ah Zong Mian Xian (阿宗麵線) is over-rated, but I still enjoyed the piping hot bowl of mee sua along the cool breezy street of Ximending (西門町). I chose to drink my favorite Honey White Bittergourd Juice (蜂蜜白苦瓜汁) even though I'm in the land of bubble tea. Bubble tea is not only meant to be drink, but can be eaten as a hotpot meal too. Yes you read it correctly! Milk Tea Hotpot (奶茶火鍋)! with the QQ pearls included!
If you've been following @pinkypiggu on Twitter and Instagram, you'd see all the yummilicious food updates at almost any time of the day. That's right, I'm like eating almost non-stop. This is a gal who eats more than she shops lol.
