One Ninety Restaurant @ Four Seasons Hotel Singapore ~ Sumptuous Market Fresh Semi-Buffet With Almost 30 Entrées!

One-Ninety Restaurant, the all-day dining concept at Four Seasons Hotel has revitalized its signature Market Fresh Semi-Buffet with a new extensive menu of nearly 30 entrées!

It includes the Italian Selection led by an Italian executive chef who brings with him more than two decades of expertise, Asian Specialties featuring popular Asian dishes, and From The Grill showcasing apple wood-fired cuisine.

There is also the buffet lineup of Appetizers and Desserts to enjoy.

The bestest best best best advice from the group of us who went for dinner would be: COME HUNGRY!!!

Desserts

Believe it or not, my friend actually started his meal with desserts! Guess it's hard to resist when the vibrant spread is the first thing that greeted us at the buffet table.

Besides Macarons and Cake selections like Red Velvet, Mango Cheese, Oreo Cheese and Pandan Chiffon, there are also sweet favorites such as Tiramisu, Chocolate Banana Mousse, Bread & Butter Pudding and Lemon Meringue Tart.

Assorted Nonya Kuehs are available for you who prefer some local treats.

Appetizers

As part of the Market Fresh Semi-Buffet, appetizers are also served free-flow. Selection changes daily according to the seasonal produce that chefs source for the day.

The usual suspects include Salads, Cold Cuts and Charcuterie, as well as imported Cheeses from France and Italy.

Say hello to my favorite pairing of Rockmelon & Parma Ham..... and Blue Cheese! Yay!

It was difficult not to go overboard with those Smoked Duck, Seared Tuna, Pork Sausage, Mushroom Pork Pate, Prawn on Ice, Burrata and Tomato & Mozzarella Salad too.

While the range isn't considered to be extensive, the quality very much makes up for it.

Italian Selection

With very order of Market Fresh Semi-Buffet, we get to pick our preferred main course from over 30 choices.

For the Italian Selection, do note that entrées such as Braised Australian Lamb Shank (+$10) require a supplement charge. We don't mind paying a bit more for that amazingly tender Slow-cooked Pork Belly (+$10).

The succulent Mediterranean Octopus was quite a hit at our table too.

Carb-centric options include Carnaroli Risotto, Squid Ink Tagliolini, Fusilli Puttanesca, as well as Parma Ham Pizza and Seafood Pizza hot from the brick pizza oven.

From The Grill

One-Ninety also prides itself on serving delectable grills prepared a la minute over apple-wood fire.

We had the flavorful Australian Prime Cut Ribeye (+$32), and beef lovers wouldn't want to miss the Wagyu Burger (+$10), Steak Frites (+$8), Sanchoku Wagyu Striploin (+$32), or Australian Black Angus Tenderloin (+$32) too.

Seafood selection includes Mediterranean Sea Bass, Salmon Tranche and Whole Maine Lobster (+$32).

Asian Specialties

Highlights from the Asian Specialties includes perennial favorites such as Hainanese Chicken Rice, Char Kway Teow, Nasi Goreng, and even Indian fare like Tandoori Cod (+$8) from a dedicated tandoori oven, and Butter Chicken prepared by an Indian chef.

The well-loved One-Ninety Laksa uses the same recipe since 20 years ago, and it is the familiar taste which has kept regulars coming back for more. Brimming with scallops, prawns, cockles, and quail eggs with thick, smooth rice vermicelli in a thick, fragrant spicy coconut broth, it was indeed slurpilicious.

Cantonese Style Hor Fun with rice noodles and seafood in savory egg gravy was the greatest surprise of the evening. That robust wok hei finish! We certainly didn't expect it from a hotel kitchen.

A La Carte

Most appetites would probably be satiated by the main course and items from the Market Fresh Semi-Buffet, but if your tummy space allows, do order the Signature Truffle Foccacia from the a la carte menu.

The warm flatbread had a medley of 4 cheeses including mascarpone cheese sandwiched in between, and was topped with shaved truffles. Thoroughly aromatic and addictive upon each bite, it was so superb that it deserves a special mention.

Great especially for sharing if you come in a group.
