翠華 Tsui Wah @ Clarke Quay ~ Super-Value Signature Afternoon Tea Set At Only $14.80++ Or $18.80++ For 2 Pax!

 

Being a fan of 翠華 Tsui Wah, I was happy to know that the eponymous Hong Kong-style "Cha Chaan Teng" has launched its Tsui Wah Signature Afternoon Tea Set at its Clarke Quay outlet.

There's two sets to choose from, both comprising of a variety of classic, all-time favourites in smaller portion.

What made me even happier: Each set is so affordable at $14.80++ or $18.80++, and designed to be shared between 2 pax. Perfect when we need some light bites at wallet-friendly prices.

Of course I have to quickly check it out, and the visit left me very impressed.

For a start, there's no question about the quality of the food. Thumbs up to the kitchen team!

Totally love the King Prawn in XO Sauce with Tossed Noodles which featured thin noodles that's cooked to a springy texture, and has none of that dreaded alkaline taste. Prawns were big and fresh with a juicy, crunchy bite.

The Kagoshima-Style Braised Pork Cartilage in Fish Soup with Mixian was utterly slurpilicious.

Another favourite of mine was Deep-fried Chicken Wings which were well-marinated and deep-fried to a crisp outer.

As the items are served in smaller portion, it suited us well as we got to enjoy a variety of items without feeling surfeit.

*Diners can top up $1.50 more to enjoy the signature Hong Kong-style beverages in a bottle, served in a classic Hong Kong-style ice bucket.

The Tsui Wah Afternoon Tea Set is available on weekdays (excluding Public Holidays) from 2:30pm to 5:30pm for dine-in and takeaway.
