Pince & Pints Launches All-New CRAB Dishes At Duxton Road Outlet

It's not just about "everything lobster" at Pince & Pints anymore!

Since March this year, the lobster specialty restaurant and bar has started serving five all-new crab dishes exclusively at its Duxton Road outlet. We're not going to ditch those premium live lobsters and the yummy signature lobster rolls anytime soon of course but..... what's not to love about having more crustacean goodness on the already well-loved menu?

The more pincers, the merrier! Yummy ones of course lol!

We started our crab feast with a Whole Grilled Crab ($55) which showcased Pince & Pints' signature preparation style. It is served with golden crispy straight-cut fries, creamy butter sauce and chef's salad.

Only whole live Sri Lankan mud crabs are used, and its freshness is truly most apparent when grilled with just a light coat of butter or prepared Cantonese-style as seen in the Whole Steamed Crab in Egg White ($55).

It's hard to decide which one I like more. The intoxicating smoky char of the grilled version, or the intrinsic sweetness of the steamed version with egg white (best paired with jasmine rice!). Both are equally good!

My sense is that the Whole Chilli Crab ($58) served with fried mantous would become one of the bestsellers. Pince & Pints' take on the local iconic dish is absolutely commendable!

Prepared using a blend of homemade chilli paste and tomato sauce, the gravy was tangy and savory with a hint of spiciness. Very appetizing indeed.

Whole Black Pepper Crab ($58) is also offered on the menu. We did not try that but used the last of our tummy space on the carbolicious Crabmeat Fried Rice ($18) instead.

The grain was well-fried with egg to a delightful fragrant, and topped with generous chunks of crabmeat. It's good enough on its own but the accompanying fiery housemade chilli oil made it even better.

It was my first time trying Pince & Pints' Nonya Chilli Lobster Roll ($58) and thought the clean, buttery flavors of the original roll impressed me more.

Besides the line-up of crab offerings, the Duxton Road outlet has also introduced new starters like my favorite Korean-style Crispy Soy Chicken Wings ($12)! No guess who ended up finishing most of it haha!
